TGA PRO | High Competition Academy

TGA TENNIS
The TGA High Competition Academy was created with the objective of achieving the maximum tennis performance of each player. For this purpose, TGA has a solid, experienced and quality structure. For those players who stand out, they will be directed to professionalism or to a university scholarship in the United States.
This is achieved with a training methodology in which the player will assimilate and master technical, tactical, physical, mental, psychological and nutritional concepts, as well as ethical and moral values in accordance with our philosophy.
Our goal is to provide the player with the highest level of training and the highest level of competition.
Our players, depending on their level and profile, have access to: Local tournaments, National tournaments, Tennis Europe (U12, U14 and U16), Tennis ITF Junnior (all levels and grades), Futures, ATP and WTA.
In the Tennis Group Academy Team, stand out players such as: Angel Guerrero (Champion of the Nike Junnior Tour Zaragoza 2013 and semifinalist in the Nike Master 2013), Cristian Lerby (Semifinalist in the U14 Dutch Championship and Final Table in the Orange Bowl 2013), Tseng Hsing (Winner of the Rafa Nadal Tour Sevilla 2014 and 5th Ranked in the Orange Bowl 2013), Gabriella Taylor (Ranked 51 in the ITF Junnior U18, Round of 16 in the Wimbledon Junior 2014 and passed the first round in Wimbledon Woman) and Javier Martí (Ranked 170 ATP).

THE TGA METHOD

TGA has developed its own work method adapted to all ages, which allows mastering all strokes with a simple and clean technique. In this way, each player will achieve their highest level of play through a daily training program that enhances all their technical, mental, tactical and physical skills.
Each player has a Technical Card, Objectives, a Roadmap and a 100% personalized Training and Tournament schedule.

TECHNICAL PREPARATION

>> Special importance of Live Ball exercises, Competition exercises and Drills exercises.

>> We pay close attention to the opening of the strokes, the balance and the balance of the body.

>> We take great care that the player learns to vary: depths, heights, speeds, effects and directions in the strokes.

>> We work on footwork with the TGA method, looking for the player to spend little energy in their movements around the court and getting the player to move very fast and maintain a good position behind the ball, obtaining greater accuracy in their shots and minimizing the risk of injury.

STRATEGIC AND TACTICAL PREPARATION

We teach the player to compete in the different areas of the court and surfaces, prioritizing training on clay.

The different game situations are worked on: attack, defense, counterattack, etc.

We teach how to close plays, optimize the drop shot and swing volley, how to play with the scoreboard, identify key games, break balls, close games, tie breaks, etc.

PSYCHOLOGICAL PREPARATION

We work on the mental aspect on and off the court, creating situations similar to those of competition during training.

We help the player to maintain a high level of concentration, to overcome his doubts and fears and to overcome the obstacles he encounters in the competition.

Mastery of body language, concentration rituals, goals, objectives, and, above all, the fun and enjoyment of the player in any game situation.

PHYSICAL PREPARATION

Based on a Biomechanical Analysis and a Physiological study (performed by our medical team), a Personalized Training Plan is established, which has the following objectives:

  • To achieve maximum physical-tennis performance.
  • Prevent injuries.
  • To achieve the player's maximum endurance and improve Power, Strength, Balance, Elasticity, Coordination and Reaction Speed.

NUTRITIONAL PREPARATION

We educate our players on the importance of healthy eating habits and instill a food culture, so that they know the different types of food (carbohydrates, proteins, fats, etc ...) and their nutritional characteristics.

In addition, we set the guidelines for a specific pre- and post-match nutrition, explain the importance of proper hydration during the game and other essential nutritional aspects for professional athletes.
